GLBT Counseling

I am proud to say I am a member and supporter of PFLAG.  (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays)  There is a need for straight friends and families, as well as GLBT (gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and trans-sexual) people to gather information and consult with therapists who are educated and experienced in these areas.

Same sex couples live in 99.3 percent of all counties nationwide. (2000 U.S. census.)  There are more than one million gay and lesbian veterans in the U.S..(urban institute)  More than half of all Fortune 500 companies offer domestic partner health benefits  to their employee’s same sex partners. (2005-2006 HRC State of the workplace Report.)  There are at least one million children being raised by same-sex couples in the United States and probably many more. (2000 U.S. census) Sixty-one percent of  Americans believe the country needs laws protecting transgender individuals from discrimination.  (2000 HRC Foundation poll.)
